Alexis Stewart’s NYC Triplex For Sale Is Actually 4 Units in One
While Martha Stewart continues to dominate the world one lifestyle venture at a time (see: her pet CBD line), her daughter Alexis is busy working on a major real estate move. The younger Stewart recently listed her impeccably designed West Village triplex for $53 million, after having purchased the home between 2006 and 2007 for approximately $35 million.
Situated in a building designed by award-winning abstract artist and architect Richard Meier, the swanky NYC residence includes a total of four units for a combined 9,500 square feet. In a profile on her mother’s website, Alexis’ apartment is described as a “beautiful, minimalist” and “family-friendly” space, and one can only guess that might have something to do with the spacious abode having six bedrooms and six-and-a-half-bathrooms (the more, the merrier approach to bathrooms will always work for families).
Inside on the main level, glass walls grant unobstructed views of the Hudson River, downtown Manhattan, Midtown, Greenwich Village as well as the Statue of Liberty and World Trade Center. The spacious living and dining areas both connect to a pair of terraces. The elegance extends into the well-equipped chef’s kitchen, which contains various upscale amenities, including a wine cooler, a pair of butler’s pantries and a walk-in refrigerator. A laundry center with three washers and dryers, a library, an office, a TV room with full bath and private suite take up the remainder of the main floor. The middle level is comprised entirely of a master suite, accentuated by a gym and another powder room. The lower level contains a media room along with three bedrooms that all have their own bathrooms, washer/dryers and kitchenettes.
Individual private entrances grant access to each floor. The building also offers its fair share of luxury amenities, including a gym with 50 foot pool, a professional screening room and a 24-hour doorman.
According to the listing with Brown Harris Stevens agent Richard Ziegelasch, the asking price also includes a storage unit, but the lighting fixtures are not for sale.
