Martha Stewart made a career of highlighting her collections, from her identical dogs to her antique tableware, distinctive houses and many styled cake stands. They were all fabulous and added personality, complexity and warmth to any room they were in. In traveling to put together my latest book, every home that I visited had a "collections" element, and this year, we, as an editorial staff, decided that the time had come to devote a whole month to art, crafts & collections.

It's easy to be a pack rat and hard to be a "collector," and displaying collections well is really tough. So to inspire you, I thought I'd put together a roundup of our greatest collections posts and images, and urge you to consider — if you have a great collection — to submit it for posting right to us: Collections Submission Form. Enjoy!!
