There’s a ‘Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ Board Game, And We Hope We Get the Rabbi
If you’ve ever wanted to trade in your average life for that of a rising comedienne, Hasbro has a special treat for you.
As a celebration of the upcoming season, Hasbro is releasing The Game of Life: Mrs. Maisel edition. The wildly popular Amazon Prime sitcom immediately captivated viewers during its debut, leading to a two-season extension and a dedicated fanbase.
This isn’t the first time Amazon has taken the non-traditional marketing route. Ahead of the 2019 Emmys, the retailer sponsored “Maisel Day” in Los Angeles, wherein select vendors rolled their prices back to reflect the 1950s. Ultimately, the move made major headlines after a photo of gas going for 30 cents per gallon went viral. There was also a pop-up exhibit in NYC this September that featured sets and costumes from the first two seasons.
The game includes the basics of the family favorite board game; spinner, six mini cars, 48 pegs for you and your (could-be) family, event, career, college career, and apartment cards, in addition to six comedy show posters and a money pack. We think it’s the perfect gift for the Maisel maniac in your life, aside from her pink Pyrex or a condo in her parents’ building, that is.
The Maisel edition of Life plays two to six players and is available for preorder on Amazon now for November 15 delivery. Check it out in other retailers on December 1, right on time for the season 3 premiere on December 6.
