My dream apartment aesthetic started with a casserole dish. Not just any casserole dish, but the bright pink daisy-covered 1950s Pyrex that Midge Maisel covets in "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel." I started watching the show last winter because I love "Gilmore Girls" like it's a family member, and I do stand-up from time to time so I figured it was made for me. I did love it, but I didn't predict the impact this one piece of 60-year-old kitchenware would be the centerpiece of my new apartment.

I wanted an apartment like Midge's, if she was single and living in Philadelphia. Back in October, I found a 250-square-foot one bedroom apartment that is really a studio but the bedroom has a door. It is in a basement and gets little-to-no natural light and it is too cold for most people. It might not be 404 Riverside Drive (the building that's used for Midge's house in the show), but for me it is perfect because it is all mine and I finally get to decorate the way I have always wanted.

And now, without further ado, live at Apartment Therapy just in time for Season 2, I present to you: my "Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" apartment essentials.

Threshold Rose Gold Bar Cart, $112.49

This is one of the more expensive items on this list, but if you aspire to be like Midge, you have to be prepared to entertain. A good bar cart is more than just a place to set glasses and a half empty bottle of Tito's. It can be a unique way to store dishes that don't fit in your limited cabinet space. This is your space now, and you want to show it off. This rose gold number is a wonderful mid-century nod to Midge and her penchant for entertaining.

Bella 26 Table Lamp, $76.99

The overhead lighting in my apartment is harsh and sterile. A good lamp is essential, especially in a bedroom. Midge would love this table lamp that's reminiscent of hairpin legs. It is perfect for watching stand-up specials in bed.

Libbey 18-piece Glassware set, $17.99

If you are going to entertain like Midge, you have to have glassware. Tumblers in assorted sizes are perfect for water, cocktails, beer, and wine. These might not be fancy, but they're simple and affordable, and your guests will be laughing at your jokes for as long as they are filled.

Simple Living Ervin Coffee Table, $44.99

My color palette centers around pink, rose gold, and dark gray. This low coffee table with low accents is perfect to center a living room. You can't go wrong with the mid-century modern style when channeling Midge. It is timeless, just like her.

Vintage Pyrex Pink Daisy Casserole Dish, $58.50

"It's a Pyrex! It can go from hot to cold without cracking!" No Midge Maisel-inspired apartment would be complete without the pink daisy Pyrex. A good baking dish is important and while I couldn't find Midge's exact size, Etsy and eBay both have plenty of her beautiful pink patterned options at varying prices. I went for a divided dish with a lid.
