MassiveMusic's Massive Media Room

Now here's an idea we haven't really come across yet -- wallpaper behind the TV. In this example from MassiveMusic's conference room, a rad woodland-meets-Stanley Kurbick theme was created within a self contained room using furniture, lighting, and a roll of wallpaper.

MassiveMusic is a collection of musicians and creatives who score film soundtracks from their Amsterdam-based office. The open warehouse is ideal for encouraging group brainstorming, but not for private discussions, so a self contained conference room, nicknamed "The Womb," was constructed in the middle of the space. "We have a big, open place and we didn't want to lose the airy, spaciousness of it," Joep Beving, MassiveMusic's biz and strategy director, told Ian McCallam, author of Where We Work.

"We can conduct a serious meeting in there, or we can burn incense, loop Brian Eno, and lie down on the floor pretending to be vegetables," Beving continued.

We love how the mounted speakers below the flat screen are somewhat camouflaged within the treescape.

Where We Work, published by Collins Design, is available now.
