Here’s Where You Can Buy Meghan Markle’s (Surprisingly Affordable) Crib
It’s no secret that whatever Meghan Markle buys turns to retail gold. So it’s no surprise that expectant moms and dads will be rushing to stores to snag the crib Markle was gifted at her baby shower on Wednesday in New York City. The Express reports that a box from baby furniture brand Babyletto that read “I come bearing gifts” along the side was spotted rolling into the Mark Hotel on a luggage cart, being treated like it was as valuable as a suitcase filled with 100 dollar bills.
Retailing for $379, the crib is the Babyletto Hudson 3-in-1 Convertible. It might be more modern than what you’d expect for a royal infant, but that’s generally the vibe of Harry and Meghan. It’s made from sustainable New Zealand pine wood and entirely eco-friendly, non-toxic materials, while also being GREENGUARD GOLD certified, which you know will tickle Megan and Harry’s eviro-friendly fancy. It can easily be converted into a toddler bed with an additional conversion kit. As of this writing, the crib has over 400 Amazon reviews, with a 4.5 rating, and comes in a variety of colors and finishes.
This isn’t the first time royals have shopped at the same places as the rest of us; on a press trip to Sweden in 2018, the Prince William and Kate Middleton told IKEA’s head of design that they have some flat pack favorites in the children’s rooms. TBD whether Baby Sussex will ride around in a Silver Cross pram and be wrapped in a white shawl like their cousins.
Markle’s baby shower proved to be quite the big event, with guests like Amal Clooney, Priyanka Chopra, Serena Williams, and Gayle King. Also present were Megan’s former “Suits” co-star Abigail Spencer, (whom you may remember from her role as Sally Draper’s teacher Suzanne on “Mad Men”) and close friend Jessica Mulroney.
Meghan is set to give birth in April.
