Meg's DIY Wall Art: $10 & 10 Minutes

Meg, an Apartment Therapy reader also known as "DIYGurl", put together this quick, easy and very affordable DIY decorating project. She was pleased with the results, so she sent us in photos and info on how she put it together — sources below...

She tells us, Thanks to Michael's craft store, I was able to install the project shown for less than $10 on a large wall in my skylit bedroom, and in less than 10 minutes! They have terrific branches and twigs.

To hang the branches, she reports that, The guys at Home Depot (I love that place) recommended I use 3/4 inch fence staples. All I did was hammer in one or two on the bottoms of the branches. I did it by myself but it could be helpful to have someone hold the branch while you hammer.

The industrial look is kind of cool with the branches actually, which was not really my intention. I was going to paint them black but I decided I liked the contrast.

It looks fantastic - thanks for sharing your project, Meg!
