Mia's "Use What You Have" Soap Box Kitchen

Made from an old soap box and some found fabric, Mia's adorable play kitchen proves once again that you don't need a woodworking shop and mad carpentry skills to build a beautiful play kitchen.

Mia's mom, Annie, sells vintage wares at her Etsy shop Paper Nest, and she clearly has an eye for seeing potential in even the humblest items. She describes how she built this play kitchen:

The "burners" and decorative "carving" were made with a stencil burning pen. The fabric was trash picked, the skirt simply stapled on from underneath. The box was also a trash picking find that I dragged around with me for years, and that I stained blue. I have some vintage decals i want to put on the sides.

We can't imagine this kitchen getting even cuter! Thanks so much for sharing, Annie. (To see more of Annie's photography, be sure to check out her work on Flickr.)
