Michael's Cardboard and Wood DIY Laptop Stands

When Unplggd reader Michael needed laptop stands for multiple computers in his office, he went the homemade way. Inspired by our posts on DIY laptop stands, he crafted several from pieces of cardboard, and reports that they've held up very well.

The cardboard laptop stands worked so well and were so popular in the office that he fashioned a few more out of thin wood, using a jigsaw.

The original "DIY Cheapskate Laptop Stand" instructions state that no laptop should be left unattended on a cardboard stand, sturdy though they may be. So the wood is a great alternative. And while the original was designed to show as little cardboard as possible, making it from wood is more attractive, more easily customizable, and just about the same price.

Thanks for sharing your creativity, Michael! We're sure your office is grateful too.
