Micro-Sculptures Carved Out of Pencil Lead

Once we've sharpened a pencil down to the last couple of inches, we find it pretty useless; not the case for artist Dalton Ghetti. He turns the unused bits of pencils into amazing works of art that you have to see to believe.

It's hard to imagine sculptures so small and precise carved out of something as simple—and disposable—as the very last bit of a pencil. The patience, the skill of hand, and the imaginative artistry that goes into these tiny works of art is astounding. And the fact that it turns a piece of one person's trash into another's treasure? Green points to boot.
