Its always inspiring to see how the work of those in the creative fields have been influenced by the eco friendly movement. Sometimes their ideas are meant simply to communicate their support for using creativity to find solutions that benefit the environment. Other times, with a few practical modifications, their ideas can spur a new way of doing things. Milk Design, the people behind the Lace Vase, the topper that turns any glass container into a beautiful receptacle for flowers, have turned their artistic eye onto a new project.
Founder Chi-Wing Lee explains: "Collecting old things has always been one of my favorite hobbies. I found many treasures among the things been [sic] thrown away. Old things should have carried their values in the past but lost their existence due to disappearance of their functions, the change of people's habit and environment so on and so on. But is there any way to extend their life and make it useful again? These are the questions inspiring my search of interesting old objects, rethink, re-organise, "repair," add new design element while keeping the smallest changes and its original nature and beauty to continue its use for today's living."
