Millennials get a bad rap for being lousy guests, awful neighbors, and incapable of doing anything beyond taking a selfie or making avocado toast. But in reality? They're not as bad as they're cracked up to be—and happen to know a thing or two about design.

Over the past few years, millennials have been launching design brands that are affordable, transparent, and ridiculously stylish. From candles to bedding and everything in between, here are 13 brands we love, all founded by millennials.

1. Bijou Candles

Wife duo Jocelyn and Alaina Young Drew sell beautiful candles for under $30. Best of all, each scent is named after Old Hollywood starlets like Audrey Hepburn and Judy Garland.

2. Otherland

You can never have too many candles in your life, which is why you'll also love Otherland. Founder Abigail Cook Stone's summer collection is giving us major Memphis Design vibes.

3. Clare

Interior designer Nicole Gibbons is bringing her millennial touch to the paint industry. Clare has peel-and-stick swatches and a special algorithm to help you find the perfect shade. Genius!

4. Modsy

Want to hit the refresh button on your space? Modsy makes 3D layouts of your room with pieces from West Elm, CB2, Wayfair, and more.

5. Revival Rugs

Gorgeous, handmade rugs at a fair, transparent price? Revival Rugs has "millennial" written all over it.

6. St. Frank

Founder Christina Bryant works with artisans from all around the world to bring a slice of wanderlust to your space.

7. Absolut Art

If Rauschenbergs and Rembrants are out of your price range, check out Absolut Art, which features a curated collection of emerging (and affordable!) artists.

8. Sunday/Monday

Made of Indian linen, this geometric pillow will add a stylish flair to any couch.

9. In the Pursuit

At In The Pursuit, former design editors Cara Gibbs and Jesse Bratter use their discerning eye to shine the spotlight on talented artisans. Expect to find artisanal snacks, cool tabletop accessories, and more.

10. Campaign

Quality furniture shouldn't have to cost you a small fortune. Thanks to Campaign, it doesn't have to.

11. Closed Mondays

Organization has never looked so good.

12. Parachute

Did you know 40 percent of Americans prefer to sleep without a top sheet? At Parachute, you can buy sheet bundles with or without one.

13. Rebecca Atwood

Whether wallpaper or bedding, Brooklyn-based Rebecca Atwood is a complete pattern pro.
