When you think of Wisconsin, a few culinary things come to mind (cheese, beer, sausages). But today, Wisconsin is full of home tours! There's everything from traditional Tudor homes, modern lakeside homes, Log Cabins and Mid Century homes with some color! Click through the jump to find out more about these five great upper-midwest homes!.

The stunning bathroom above and this bedroom are found in the home of Mark and Kathy Brost. They weren't looking for a home, but as many of us can testify to, their random searchings on Craigslist turned into a reality when they found this great space. They have kept a great deal of it rustic and updated other parts to bring it into the modern (and more comfortable) age. Click through for more pictures of this home and to hear more on their renovation.

Jock and Linda Mutschler fell in love with this 1912 Tudor style (by architect Alexander Eschweiler) home within the first 15 minutes after stepping inside. Only a few short months after purchasing the home, the family was taken to London for business and the house sat empty for several years. Upon moving back the family brought with them 4 shipping containers of antiques purchased in the UK. Click through to see more pictures of this home and hear the full story on their travels.

Bill and Katie Hebal took two lakeside cottages and turned them into 1 modern house with a great deal of wide open space. The home is 3 levels and contains 80 windows that allow for an amazing amount of light and spectacular views of the lake. Click through to see more pictures and to read the story on this great home.

Colleen Henry and Steve Kohn think basic beige is boring. Their home seated snuggly on Lake Michigan is anything but dull. It's bright, full of personality and a great place for this couple to retreat to after a long day in their respective hectic fields! They purchased this mid century ranch style home in 2004 and have given it quite the makeover and facelift. Click through for more pictures and to read more on this quirky couple.

Kate Barrette has a one-bedroom condo in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward. Although it may be modest, everything in it is purposeful and deliberate. , it's all about quality, not quantity for her. A home decor store owner likes to keep things reserved and peaceful so when the day is done, there is a place ready and waiting to take the days troubles away. Click through for an interview with Katie and more photos of her self designed condo.

Note: If there are any pictures you enjoyed from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's website but need a closer look, try saving the photo to your desktop where it will save much larger than it's viewed onscreen!
