If you can’t decide between minimalism and maximalism, you’re in luck. This hotel suite splits the difference.

Johnny Wujek, who famously styles singer Katy Perry, collaborated with style blogger and Modern Legacy founder Kaitlyn Ham on a hotel suite with an amusingly specific purpose: to settle the score between couples who can’t agree on the type of decor they prefer.

You can’t help but instantly fall in love with a design that aims to give couples one less issue to disagree on, plus it doesn’t hurt that Wujek and Ham’s idea looks as great as it sounds. Tasked by Hotels.com to style a room in London’s The Curtain, the fashion connoisseurs got to work putting their personal styles on the “So Extra So Chic” suite.

Wujek tackled the maximalist side by going heavy on the over-the-top accessories and prints, which resulted in a combination of “golden ornaments, monkey lamps, a luminescent mini bar, clashing prints, layered colorful rugs and wallpaper that could send you cross-eyed.”

Of his extravagant contribution to the suite, Wujek says, “I wanted my side of the room to feel exciting and ‘extra’ but also comfy and cozy,” adding, “It’s a touch of overgrown Great Expectations with a dash of California casual. Style is all about self-expression and, clearly, I have a lot to express.”

Meanwhile, Ham expressed her signature minimalist aesthetic on the other half of the room, a look represented by “pared-back, clean lines and minimalist monochromes with a white leather lounge chair, bespoke line-drawing art, décor pieces in muted tones and a plush wool throw.”

Of the minimalist look, Ham says, “I took inspiration from modern mid-century design to create a space that feels open and calming. All the pieces were chosen for their style and functionality with a focus on quality. The space should feel modern and light, yet have an inviting warmth that makes it feel like home.”

The So Extra So Chic suite is available to book through October 29.
