We've been thinkin'. Is there such a thing as a perfect marriage between the modern furniture and the technology we buy today? Or do they have some kind of symbiotic relationship that reciprocally inspire each other? We explore material finishes and their tech-y counterparts, after the jump.

We've noticed a growing trend of "retro-inspired" tech toys that utilize leather grips and modern furniture that mimics the sexy finish of glossy turntables.

We've found many HDTVs have enjoyed the company of IKEA's PS media cabinet which allows for an easy contemporary look without much effort at all.

Meanwhile, desks using skinny sawhorse table legs seem to meld well with those who primarily compute on laptops, complementing their mobile lifestyle as "lightweight and mobile."
