While some of us here at Unplggd may have been big collectors of Micro Machines when they blew up in the 90's, there seems to be another serious movement going around, with plenty of household items receiving the shrink ray treatment. This time, we have modernists' miniature tech and furniture stirring up a storm in the Etsy marketplace and Vitra Museum Store, churning out tiny-iMacs and Eames chairs for grown-up versions of dream dollhouses.

Even the tiniest little details (above, Annina's desk amongst a beautiful collection of wonderful modernist dollhouse miniatures) can be found with astounding details as these dedicated DIYers create replicas of outrageously priced modern pieces that would be otherwise impossible to acquire with a normal salary.

If building things from scratch aren't your thing, you can grab some tiny modern furniture pieces over at the Vitra Design Museum. They have a pretty large selection and totally lovable, though it's a bit pricier than building it yourself!
