modulR iPad Case System

Are you the type of person who wakes up to your iPad, takes it all around the house, out of the house and always like to keep it at arm's length for use? We are. If you're looking for an accessory that offers both protection and display/storage options, you might want to check out the modulR system, a new iPad accessory that has come to market since our earlier report.

Our review modulR starter kit included the case and cover, the slim mount, quick stand and shoulder strap. There's also a hand strap and an upcoming universal swing arm (perfect for iPad-using home chefs), alongside a auto headseat strap for car ride entertainment.

At the heart of the modulaR system is their hard plastic case, which works both as a protective cover and also allows users slide affixed encased iPad into other modulR accessories, like the wall-mounted slim mount or the quick stand, safely locking the iPad into place vertically, whether onto a wall or ontop of a desk. We're not sure about the shoulder strap, since it leaves the iPad a little too noticeably out in the open in our opinion, but the other accessories add safety and utility without much hassle (everything in the system is a matter of sliding one thing into another, so no rocket science required). If you're someone who moves around with the iPad throughout the day, the modulaR system can be your insurance policy against cracks and scratches.

The only problem I've run into? Deciding where to install the wall mount! It's such a commitment to install something onto the wall, so I've been holding off. I'm leaning toward installing the low profile wall mount near our bed, since I use the iPad as a morning alarm, but have to wait until we complete painting and wallpapering the bedroom. In the meantime, the grippy-footed quick stand partnered with the app Nightstand Central have made the iPad the best (and most expensive) alarm clock ever!
