One of the bittersweet parts of shopping secondhand is that you rarely come across the matching counterpart to your find. Sure, it can be part of the fun to search high and low for a complete set but that can take years. Take it from someone with a few lone pepper shakers. I’m starting this early April roundup by scavenging the Apartment Therapy Marketplace for pairs of all kinds. Here are five listings worth your time.

This four-piece set of candy-colored, vintage enamelware is a treat for the eyes. Use them daily (just be sure to check for scratches and rust ) or break them out for festive serving ware. I’d even go as far to use these as funky planters. Pick it up in Chicago or have it shipped anywhere within the United States. Available on Apartment Therapy Marketplace, $50.

If you’re tired of using mason jars for everything, grab this set of Pentron Industries metal canisters. These are in relatively good vintage condition; there are some scuffs and dings along the outside. Nevertheless, this set of nesting storage is charming and unique. Local delivery in the Phoenix area and it also ships globally. Available on Apartment Therapy Marketplace, $22.

I’m digging the Devo vibe I get from these Danish pendant lamps by designer Jo Hammerborg. The “Askepot” model was made for Fog & Morup and seller Far Out Finds has six of them. Before you “Whip It“, snag this set for a lighting statement. Available on Apartment Therapy Marketplace, $275 each or $1,400 for all six.

What a lovely pair of chairs this Mid-Century High Back set makes! Made of a naugahyde upholstery in a robin blue hue, the chairs are finished with matching piping. Add these beauties to your living room set up or in an home office as occasional chairs. Available on Apartment Therapy Marketplace for pickup in Los Angeles, $60 for the set.

So this isn’t a complete set of the alphabet but who has the space for 26 large 3D metal letters. What we have here is 3-feet tall letters of “A”, “P” (depending on how you look at it it could be a lowercase “B” or “D”) and an ampersand. The previous owner used them in wedding decorations but the possibilities are endless. Available on Apartment Therapy Marketplace, $300 for the set but can be sold individually.
