Morfojet: The Jet Engine Sound Chair

Finding the right chair for your living room or home theater room isn't always as easy as it seems. First, you need something that will fit in with the rest of the room. Then, you'll need to consider comfort and other issues or you'll just end up with a patchwork of different furniture. Are you looking for that extra signature chair for your living room? Well then look no further, the Morfojet might do the trick.

The Morfojet armchair was designed by Gianni Pedone for Morfonauta. It's going to be showcased at this year's design fair in Milan. Other than looking like a strange futuristic throne, the armchair comes with a built-in entertainment system. From what we can tell, it's a DVD player of some kind. There are also integrated speakers in the chair, making it an interesting piece of furniture.

What really sets it apart is the overall design, which makes the chair look like it's made from two jet engine turbines. When you sit in the middle, it's like sitting between the wings of a plane. There is no word yet on exactly what the chair can actually do. It's an imposing chair and might be well suited for a bunch of different decors. I like it. It would also go well in an aeronautical themed room, with other stuff from planes, like the incredible recycled airplane wing desk.

Hopefully, it won't be as expensive at the home theater sofa that I saw earlier this week, which cost about $16,000. [via Designboom]
