Attention all plant parents: Mojo Mortgages, an online broker, has released the most popular houseplants of the year so far. For those with a green thumb, it’s no secret that plants provide so much more to a living space beyond just aesthetics. Yes, they liven up any ol’ boring room, but houseplants also have proven wellness benefits. Houseplants reduce stress and anxiety, improve the air quality in a space, act as a natural humidifier, and enhance cognitive skills.

Given these wellness aspects, it’s no surprise that more and more people are buying houseplants during the COVID-19 pandemic. It isn’t just baking bread and streaming TV and films that quarantine dwellers have turned to—many are redecorating their homes to create joyful living and work spaces during this uncertain time. Well, Mojo Mortgages released a report that breaks down the top 20 most-Googled houseplants of 2020 by searches.
