Muffin Tin Monday

Muffin Tin Monday

Katy, an expat living in Luxembourg, began this clever idea and now there's an entire blog carnival where other parents share their muffin tin meals each Monday. Well, it's Monday and if you're thinking about making lunch sometime soon, head below the jump for some inspiration...

We really like this idea. It's simple- serve a fun and healthy variety of foods in a muffin tin every Monday.

According to the blog carnival here there are a few of reasons for the muffin tins:

"breaking up the lunchtime routine, serving foods in smaller more manageable portions for little mouths and introducing them to new foods in a fun and interesting way!"

When we were first experimenting with different foods for our toddler, a good friend and parent suggested thinking about her meals like "tapas." We loved that idea and this seems to have a similar concept.

They even do themes for two weeks and then skip a week.

We've also realized lately that just because your toddler is still making a mess while eating, doesn't mean they wouldn't find a nice presentation more appealing. We're going to give Muffin Tin Monday a try.

You can follow along and share your own muffin tin here and check out Katy's blog here.
