The shock! The scandal! The horror! The Napa Valley Wine Train is hosting a murdery mystery party to end all murdery mystery parties, and it’s the only event we want to attend in 2020. Sorry, friends. Your birthday parties and engagement soirees just can’t compete.

The Napa Valley Wine Train, known for its gorgeous scenic tours through California’s wine country, has teamed up with The Murder Mystery Company to bring an immersive and engaging experience to their riders. Throughout the entirety of 2020, the partnership will bring a collection of nine themed packages to hopeful sleuths itching to solve the ultimate whodunnit.

“With jealous, jilted lovers, deadly secrets, and plenty of intrigue, our vintage train sets the stage for a devious game of cat and mouse as you search for a killer—or hide your insidious identity from your fellow dinner guests,” the Napa Valley Wine Train site reads. “Of course, you’ll still enjoy three gourmet courses of fine California cuisine on your journey. You’ll just solve a murder on the side. We hear it pairs nicely with a smooth pinot noir.”

Call us Nancy Drew because we’re SO ready to solve this mystery (and eat a gourmet meal while doing so).

Each party lasts three hours, and guests will be served dinner aboard the company’s 20th-century Pullman train cars. Then, depending on that night’s theme, all hell will break loose. Guests can choose to attend a 20s-themed night like “Crime and Punishment” or “Death of a Gangster,” or a more modern-themed party like “Till Death Do Us Part” (wedding attire is a must) or “Now You See It, Now You Don’t” (evening gowns and suits are recommended).

Murder mystery rides are offered until December 5, 2020 and tickets range from $230 to $280. You can book your reservation here.
