5 Online Sources To Playfully Accessorize Your Workspace

Everyone has his or her go-to stores for specific needs, whether it be furniture, fashion, or tech gear. And when it comes to accessorizing my desk area, I'm always on the hunt for accessorizing my work area with designs which range from classic to those with an element of playfulness. Here are five favorites I've bookmarked during my online window-shopping sessions...

5 Online Sources To Playfully Accessorize Your WorkspaceModCloth: Yes, as the name implies, ModCloth is where I often browse for clothing. But note, the fashion retailer also offers a very fun selection of home electronics and tech accessories worth checking out once you've had your fill of clothes browsing. It’s killing two birds with one stone right? Mixed in with their wallets for women, you’ll also find portable chargers, iPhone cases, turntables, and some unusually shaped power strips.

Connectd Design: This is one of my favorite places to browse because they have such an unusual line of home technology and home office accessories, including phone stands, cases, covers, notebooks and cable holders, many with color and nature motifs at the forefront of their design. For example: the Watch Diary notebook is designed with an integrated timepiece inside the lasercut notebook center; the Lastleaf, a decorative sticker to bring a little simulated nature into your workspace; and the Your Magnet, which can be used as a phone stand or cable organizer.

Vetted Shop: Vetted is amongst my favorite sites to browse totes and backpacks for carrying laptops. And the shop is also stocked with an excellent selection of desktop accessories like clocks, watches, and most notably the recently announced classic Dieter Rams Braun calculator. If your tastes lean urban, monochromatic, and classic, their selection comes highly recommended.

Muji: Some people are particular about their notebooks and only like to use a certain type, such as Moleskines. I’m partial to Muji notebooks and also love to browse through their homewares and desktop storage accessories. They also have other minimalist tech designs like the classic wall mounted CD Player (recently upgraded to wireless) and flatpack cardboard speakers.

Poppin: Poppin is a great place to start for color lovers  on a budget, since their whole philosophy seems to revolve around matching color preference to an array of home office solutions represented by what seems like every hue of the rainbow. My favorite service available on the Poppin site is their fun Design-a-Desk tool, which lets you apply different colors to their desk accessories so you can experiment with the type of look and color scheme you want.
