Childhood classics are often the inspiration for parties so why not an iconic snack classic. Sheila gives us the scoop: Kailani's 2nd birthday party was inspired by her favorite snack to eat: Goldfish Crackers. She ended up being in goldfish heaven!
The colors were orange and sea-blue. The invitations included a small bag of goldfish crackers so the guests knew what they were in for. We decorated with streamers, polka-dotted balloons, and spread personalized confetti (with photos of the birthday girl) along with bowls of goldfish crackers across the tables. Other items included handmade napkin rings, party hats, personalized cupcake toppers and water bottles, a banner, and party favors that sent guests home with Kailani's Magical Birthday Bubbles, Swedish fish candy, and a fish that told your fortune.
There was also a goldfish decorated cake, pearl and clam cookies, hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, and a variety of goldfish crackers in fish bowls. We played an under-the-sea bean bag toss game, went fishing for prizes, played a cake-walk game, and had a dance contest. The kids loved the dance contest and could have fished for prizes all afternoon. We got most of the decorations from Party Accessories as well as Bake It Pretty.
Thanks Sheila! Readers, you can see more photos of Kailani's party at Party Accessories Blog.
