My Room: Ottilie

My Room: Ottilie

Rowan sent us an email with photos of Ottilie's sweet new space. She tells us: My 9-month-old daughter needed her own space -- we'd been sharing a room, but decided she was ready to move. I had a budget of $150, and needed to integrate a bright red crib and a navy blue sofa that had to remain in the room. I chose light pink for the wall color and used an Ikea rug for further palette inspiration.

Some sources: Ikea, the Melrose Trading Post here in LA, furniture we already had, and gifts from friends (the crane garland and white shag blanket). I made roman shades using a tutorial I found via Ohdeedoh.

We live in a (rented) small apartment and have limited space (Ottilie's bedroom was an office, but now the office is in our bedroom), I had a limited budget and managed to make something that looks very different.

Thanks, Rowan and Ottilie!
