Naked & Angry
We’ve seen tons of blog mentions over the past few weeks, but we’re officially adding skinnyCorp‘s Naked & Angry online catalog to the Guide, since we get to claim them as locals! The Series Two papers are the end product of an open online design process, in which anyone can submit a pattern and where users vote. Here are the five high-scoring designs:
As Springwise points out, Naked & Angry is “combining one of today’s leading consumer trends (customer-made) with a continuing trend in interior design (wallpaper)” with this product.
Gregory at AT:LA says: “I personally detest the garnish known as parsley. But gosh, if I’m not completely reconsidering after falling smitten with Kimberley Crofts’ Parsley A design.“
Josh Spear thinks: “This is another great example of product co-creation– just lovely.“
Porcelain at Design Boner has plans: “Heavenly Scales is my favorite of the bunch and I think it would be very sexy inside your underpants drawer. I love the idea of hiding the boldness and giving a mundane area a big jolt of pizzazz!!!“
Oh, and for the record, our favorite is: Old Timey Tiley by Ray Fenwick. So pink, so medieval monastery meets ice cream parlour!
The papers are hand-screened here in Chicago and sell for $60. per double roll, which covers approx. 65 square feet. There is a project calculator and installation info at the site.
