Neck Wraps: Beat The Heat Indoors Or Out!

Half the country will be in triple digits tomorrow, and to be quite frank, that's just friggin ridiculous! Many homes are still making do without air conditioning and most of us are trying our best to put on a happy face and enjoy the outdoors in spite of the skyrocketing temperatures. Click through the jump to get the low down on these sweat absorbing rocks built right into a neckband that can keep you cool inside or out and help you enjoy your home and summer outings!

Now, we're from stock who wears bandannas all summer long. They help wick the sweat away from your neck, allowing the breeze to cool it and hopefully you. Although there's nothing wrong with that method, there's no magical water wicking rocks involved! If the thought of that isn't enough to catch your curiosity, then we're not sure what will?! In the photo above, the smaller rocks are what they look like dry and the later picture is showing the insane amount of moisture they can handle.

Hop on over to The Small Object, who has a great tutorial posted on making these neck wraps or ties.

They'd be great to stash in a stroller for a day at the park or zoo or perfect for when you're just trying to make it until sundown in your own home, counting the seconds until the heat breaks and you can breathe again! Tidying up the kids room might not be such a chore if you didn't sweat your face off in the process!
