New Affordable Cardboard Children's Chairs From Muji

Finding seats for tiny tots always seems to present a problem. For starters, many in an affordable price range are these awkward plastic things or are covered in the latest cartoon character of the moment. They rarely look great in a space and pricier options, although stylish are usually so far out of the ballpark they're not even a consideration. Enter Muji, affordable, durable, recycled and recyclable!

Muji cardboard chairs come in two sizes, large and small and hold up to 132 pounds (which sounds like a totally made up number, but we're sure there were hours of testing). The small chair is sized for 3 to 4 year olds, while the large is geared more for your 5 to 6 year olds.

Each chair is made from recycled content and the wrapper it is delivered to your doorstep in can even be transformed into a cover for the chair if you so desire, leaving no waste behind. Muji encourages parents to act together in assembly and construction of this piece and even in it's decoration.

If you're a New Yorker you can find them at one of the 3 Muji storefronts or you can order them online for the totally reasonable price of $26.50 or $29.50.
