New Clocks Made From Old Stuff

We started wearing a watch again for the first time in years. This single act has freed us from locating our cell phone when we need to know what time it is. Using a wall clock in the home affords us a similar freedom. Digital clocks on microwaves are hard to read from across a room but a nice, big wall clock registers every time.

Read all about making your own wall clock from vintage items here. Our favorite is the bike wheel--we love the rustic charm it adds to any space. We know the camp is solidly divided on using doily's in the home but we can't help but be drawn to them. Repurposing a hubcap from a vintage car ups the kitsch factor and would look awesome displayed in a retro kitchen. And the vibe and texture that comes with a wood slice clock can't be beat--perfect for the cozy reading nook in the home.
