January: synonymous with a fresh start and a new beginning. We vow to change our habits by drinking green smoothies, exercising, folding all the socks the minute the come out of the dryer, watching less TV, so on and so forth. The word "detox" creeps into our vocabulary, too—and here are some of our favorite detox tips. But surprise, surprise: they're not just food-related.
While there's always that cayenne and lemon juice cleanse, we prefer the idea of cleansing out the system in a much broader sense.
From a green perspective, you can declutter and pare down your stuff. Then there are the dietary strokes, turning to vegetarianism as not just a diet detox but a carbon footprint detox.
