Earlier this month we were invited to a dinner party given by Bosch for bloggers at their Brooklyn showroom. During the event we were able to see some neat products demoed and have fallen in love with quite a few of them. So much so that we hope to perhaps see them as gifts this year.. hint hint. It was great to see these products in action, including the Tassimo and taste the delicious food and drink that was created using them.
The Brooklyn showroom, where the event was held, is home to a lovely variety of shiny Bosch appliances just begging to go home with you. During the course of the event, several products were demonstrated and dinner was created by chef Stephanie Beack of Scrumptious Street. In addition to being impressed by the LED lighting in the Linea refrigerators and the temperature sensing in the 800 series ovens, we fell head over heels for the Mixxo, 800 Series Induction Cooktop, and the Tassimo.
Mixxo was the first product that was demoed during the event and was used by Chef Beack to make a delicious smoothie. The Mixxo is a cordless immersion blender that uses a rechargable Lithium ion battery perfect for making soups and smoothies. One of the great features of the Mixxo, in addition to the rechargable battery, is that it does not overheat, unlike many immersion blenders on the market. We love the design and power of this blender and think it is a great solution for those looking to save counter space by replacing their counter top blender or those just looking for a great immersion blender.
800 Series Induction Cooktop is one very smart cooktop. Because it uses induction, only the area under the pan is hot, making the rest of the cooktop safe to touch. We love how PotSense automatically adjusts the cooking element to the size of the pan bottom. This incredibly efficient system is not only looks smart, it is also intelligent in that with the AutoChef sensor the exact temperature can be achieved quickly and maintained. AutoChef is also pre-programmed with cooking temperatures for many popular dishes, including pancakes and eggs. With AutoChef Bosch claims that it "is bringing an end to imperfect pancakes; runny eggs; fried foods that are burnt on the outside and raw in the center; and skillets that are charred beyond repair." Since we do love our breakfast, we welcome any innovation that makes this meal of the day all that much easier to prepare.
Tassimo is one very neat coffee machine. It uses the bar code from the T-disk to brew the perfect cup of hot chocolate, coffee, or espresso (and a few other types of drinks as well). Tassimo and Benvenuto provided the perfect after dinner cups of espresso that capped off this evening.
