Location: Williamsburg — Brooklyn, New York
It's come a long way since we first moved in. The building is an old yarn factory in Williamsburg. Our apartment had been rented for six years by DUDES. It was a hot mess. The concrete floors were painted over with brown and different shades of gray paint, the bathroom was just nasty. But, it's 1000 square feet with high ceilings, so we saw the potential!
We stripped the floors to the original concrete, painted the walls and installed an IKEA sink in the bathroom. We're renting so we didn't go too crazy but it made a world of difference! I love the light in the apartment, the ample wall space for art and the exposed pipes.
