With the pandemic, people who are used to leaving their homes to exercise have had to get creative at home. While there have been lots of free virtual workouts available over the past few months, here’s a new option: to encourage everyone to keep moving, Nintendo has released a free game called Jump Rope Challenge.

The adorable game is pretty straightforward. Using the Nintendo Switch’s JoyCon controllers, you are challenged to do a hundred jumps a day, with the game cheering you on for every 10 repetitions you do. It also keeps track of your daily score, and the goal can be increased as you get better.

“This simple game was created by a few Nintendo developers while working from home in Japan to add quick and fun physical movement into their daily life,” Nintendo of America tweeted. “Give it a try and get moving while at home!”

There’s also a multiplayer option, allowing others can join in on the fun too. And if you have problematic knees or downstairs neighbors who complain about noise? The game lets you jump by simply bending your knees or moving your arms to mimic the motion of jumping rope, so there’s no excuse for you to not work up a sweat.

“It’s all the fun of jumping, but there’s not a rope in sight!” the company added.Jump Rope Challenge will only be available for free until the end of September, so make sure to get it from the Nintendo eStore as soon as you can.
