Even with it's limitations, it has become our go-to device when we are on the go and need to be connected; to work and the Internet. Now 7 months later, there is some serious competition; and what doest that means to you? Better systems available and a variety to choose from.
Samsung Galaxy Tab
This is more than a "me too" in regards of innovation. It has a 1024 x 600 pixel LCD 7" screen and a trim frame. It can fit on a jacket pocket or even those "gansta style" oversize back pockets. The Androis 2.2 powered Tab has Flash 10.1 support, a 3mp camera with LED flash and a front facing 1.3 mp camera available for Skype and similar apps. We love the included Google maps and even the flat back, that doesn't wobble when we type on a table.
Toshiba Folio 100
This tablet comes with built in USB and HDMI sockets as well as a 1.3 mp camera. A little bit heavier and chunkier than a iPad, and with all that connectivity, the batty life suffers a hit. The screen is a 10 incher sporting Android 2.2
This Binatone HomeSurf, is a 7" tablet with only 2gb of internal storage and a resistive 800 x 480 touchscreen. WiFi is included. This is a great product for the budget conscious but don't expect a bunch of features, as it is a limited device good enough to connect to the internet, check some webpages and retrieve your email while you are cooking.
