And now, from the good news department: Nordstrom just announced that they’ve teamed up with GOODEE to launch GOODEE 100, a mini-shop full of 100 beautifully crafted home essentials all $100 and under. Besides being gorgeous and affordable, everything in the shop has also been curated following GOODEE’s ethos of sourcing sustainably produced goods, often from underserved communities. Twin brothers Byron and Dexter Peart launched the brand in 2017, and they’ve been on a mission to make the world a kinder, better place ever since. As they put it, “While there is power in good design, we believe there is infinitely more in design for good.” The GOODEE 100 marketplace has lots of great kitchen and dining gifts (for others or yourself … ) that we’ve already fallen for hard. Here are our top ten picks to check out.

Handmade by artisans at Baba Tree Basket Co. in Ghana, this market basket is woven from local vetiver grass in colorful shades including bright saffron and burnt orange. Weavers at Baba Tree all earn a fair wage for their work, as well as an extra commission for every basket sold. While this is a great option for putting together a gift basket, keep in mind that the real gift might turn out to be the basket itself!
