When it comes to online shopping, it pays to be in the know about hidden sections or special features—especially when you’re browsing a retailer that has a huge inventory. While not really a “hidden” section in the traditional sense, sale sections aren’t always home to cast-offs and the season’s least-loved items. At Nordstrom, the sale section is actually consistently full of our favorite brands, including Anthropologie, All-Clad, and Le Creuset.

The reason is that Nordstrom price matches—so if there’s a sale going on that you don’t know about elsewhere, Nordstrom will honor those prices. Not only that, but Nordstrom has a feature not often seen on other sites: search by percent off, which helps you easily find the biggest markdowns.

I’ve found that I’m more likely to fork over a larger amount knowing I saved 60 percent on something of quality than something cheap that costs $10 on its own.
