This home built along a forest owned by Duke University is the primary residence of Ellen Cassilly and Frank Konhaus. Named "Cassilhaus" — a combination of their names — the 3.25 acres near Durham also host an art gallery, artist's studio and home for visiting artists in residence...
The space was conceived by the couple (Ellen is an architect) and took 11 months to build. Check out the full story in The New York Times: Art and Life Meet at the Ideal Spot and the slide show.
