Hello AT,

Tim and I are getting married, and we decided to use part of the wedding registry to redo our bedroom.

Tim gave me free range, to do what I want, which means bubblegum pink, yellowy greens, giant cabbage rose prints, animal prints, and everything mirrored.

I love the look of Betsey Johnson's pink Manhattan apartment, and anything Jonathan Adler.

We're keeping some of the furniture we already have—a king sized mattress and box spring (no bed frame, but I don't mind not having one), a white bookcase, a huge Ikea wardrobe with white sides and mirrored doors.

I already decided to paint the walls bubblegum pink and buy Green Primavera bed linens from Crate and Barrel...

(Note: Include a pic of your problem and your question gets posted first.)

What I need help choosing:

1) A vanity or a desk. I know it's most practical to buy classic furniture and add personality with accessories. My problem is that I always try to add personality with furniture too, which is why I'm dying to get a mirrored vanity.

1) A stool or chair to go with the vanity. I like how Lucite looks, but I can't find anything affordable.

3) Lighting. I'm really stuck here. We don't have room for bedside tables to put lamps on.

Our landlord definitely won't want us to rewire anything or add wall lighting. So that leaves floor lamps, but there's not much any room for them either, and we only have two inconveniently placed outlets.

Thanks! Kathy
