Offshore Plant Towers Proposed to Increase Biodiversity

For densely populated areas, new green space isn't always an option. Dutch firm Waterstudio.NL has proposed an alternative with Sea Trees, oil rig-inspired tiered platforms that create mini ecosystems for birds, plants, insects, and sea creatures. The structures can be moored in any sea, river, or lake — The firm has sited London, Shanghai, and New York as viable locations.
