O&G Studio: Modern Meets Traditional in New England
Warren, Rhode Island-based O&G Studio tap right into the New England design sensibility to create pieces that are a mashup of traditional hand-crafting, rustic industrial forms, and bright modern colors.
Founders Jonathan Glatt and Sara Ossana collaborate with local craftsmen, including Warren Chair Works‘ Robert Barrow whose studio we visited last year, and whose 1760 Continuous Arm chair was the inspiration for a brightly colored O&G creation featured in the most recent issue of Martha Stewart Living.
O&G’s other offerings include gorgeous desks made with antique iron legs, trivets made from recycled railroad tracks, and playful cut-and-powder-coated steel tables, all of which are American-made. Founded in 2009, the studio’s current collection is small, but thoughtful (check out their website for the full line) and we’re looking forward to seeing their future collaborations.
