Ohdeedoh Kids’ Color ContestEntry #44: Brewer’s Imagination Cubby

Name: Candice
Location: Charleston, SC
Child: Brewer, 3

Inspiration: My son seemed to be born with a great imagination, but he wasn’t allowing himself to explore it alone…

Inspiration continued: …he always needed to be around adults to play. I figured if i wanted him to start playing in his room i needed to make it appealing for a child! it worked because he LOVES his room now!

Tip for Using Color: For a child’s room, or any other room for that matter, I always use color as a punch! i like neutral walls, simple furniture and bedding and use the fun accessories and art to display the color. It helps in not overwhelming the space and draws the attention to what really matters…especially to a child!

Colors Used:
Walls: “Fisherman’s Net” American Tradition (Lowes’s)
Chair : Puff Chair in brushed scarlett denim Canvas Storage Bins: ClosetMaid in Red
Rug: a find from Big Lot’s
Painting: Brewer’s daddy painted it in highschool 😉
