Old CDs Make Great Holiday Decorations

In this economy, there's no reason to go out and buy cheap holiday decorations at the drug store just to fit in with the rest of the building. Use a little creative elbow grease to make some ornamental ornaments from old tech.

Use those old disco CDs you have lying around (Really, disco? You don't need them!) and turn them into sweet disco ball decorations. A little bit modern, a little bit retro—but all festive and fun!

All you need is a styrofoam ball from a craft store (Get whatever size you need) and a pile of old CDs. Cut the CDs into small squares and glue them, reflective-side out, to the ball with a glue gun. (Handy tip: start by gluing the squares around the thick center of the ball like in the image above!)

Could recycling old tech be any more easy and fun?
