One Minute Tip: How to Remove the Wax from Your Candle Jars

Today's One Minute Tip comes from Apartment Therapy favorite Cafe 'ino, where Ian kindly agreed to share their secret for maintaining that lovely flickering glow in shining glass night after night.

To shrink the wax remnant from the sides of the glass initially, you can also put the candle in the freezer for a few hours. But this technique works well for getting that pesky wax residue off the sides of a container you could reuse, and it's safer than using the dishwasher, since you don't want wax clogging up your pipes!

At 'ino they use double-bagged heavy duty garbage bags which can handle the wax-water, but you could also treat it like bacon grease and use an old tin can.
