Dear Readers,
What are you looking for? Check out our new Bazaar – the best place on the web for vintage designer furnishings and accessories directly from others in our community. Today, Sarah Lyon is sharing a beautiful cane stool for sale.
Anyone who knows me knows just how much I love cane furniture–in fact, you could say that I’m borderline obsessed. Cane chairs, benches, trays, lampshades…I’m a fan of it all! So when I saw the beautiful cane stool featured above, I knew I had to highlight it in today’s Bazaar post.
If you’re short on square footage but can’t resist adding some cane to your life, this stool featured above is a great option because it’s super versatile. And at $75, it’s great price (if you do some searching, you’ll see that similar cane furniture can often cost a pretty penny!). Below, I’m sharing three ways you can incorporate this affordable beauty into your existing space.
- Use it as a plant stand. If you’re like me, you probably can’t resist bringing home more and more plant babies each time you visit the hardware store. Give one of your green friends extra special treatment by potting it and then setting it atop the stool for added interest. A plant with dangling vines would look lovely, but there’s really no wrong way to go about this. Then, place the stool next to your living room couch, in an entryway, or wherever else you desire, and see how much of a difference this little change makes!
- Use it as a night stand or side table. Set the stool next to your bed and then place a stack of books and your alarm clock on top for a fun twist on a night stand. You could also use it in the living room with a small tray on top–this is ideal when entertaining, as surface space always seems to be limited! The next time you have friends over for wine and cheese night, you’ll be happy to have an extra side table on hand (and it can eventually turn into seating, of course, should unexpected guests show up!).
- Use it to display your favorite things. Place the stool in the corner of your bedroom and set a favorite handbag on top (your accessories totally deserve VIP treatment!) or arrange a small stack of stylish coffee table books on the seat. This is a win-win: your beloved belongings will have a designated home, and it’s easy to arrange and rearrange the setup should you get tired of how it looks.
