Not Just For Valentine’s Day: The Best Year-Round Bouquets to Knock Your Loved One’s Socks Off
Well, Valentine’s Day has come and gone, and whether you are coupled up, single, or somewhere in between, it’s always a wonderful reminder to celebrate all the love in your life. We had a blast rounding up our favorite “flower” delivery services for this exact purpose: to show every type of Valentine that you love them! Best of all, these companies deliver year-round and for all occasions — because why should one day have all the fun?! Watch my story above and read on to see what we came up with!
Farmgirl Flowers
My first bouquet comes from a great company called Farmgirl Flowers that I just discovered this past year when I received a Farmgirl original (in their signature burlap wrapping) from a friend of mine. Based in San Francisco and using only flowers from California farmers, the Farmgirl bouquets can be delivered anywhere in the Continental U.S. Their options may vary based on the season, but I can tell that they are consistently fresh fresh fresh! This “Be Still My Heart” succulent arrangement was specifically designed for February 14th, but their selection is always rotating and always beautiful.
CEO and Founder Christina Stembel writes:
“When I started Farmgirl Flowers it was with clear intention. I wanted to create an innovative new model for purchasing flowers online that did it “right.” I wanted to provide a better product and customer experience, build a company based on integrity, create good jobs, and support American farmers. That was my mission then, and still is now.”
If that isn’t reason enough to support this company, I can guarantee first-hand that they arrive in the same beautiful condition as the photographs on the site.
Bacon Bouquets
Those of you in the Northeast know that we all got hit by a crazy snowstorm last Thursday, the same day I shoot my Daily Find videos. I usually wouldn’t feel too upset to hear that USPS couldn’t deliver in the storm; but on a day where I’m supposed to be getting a bacon rose dipped in chocolate, I have to say that it felt like someone told me Santa Claus wasn’t coming on Christmas. When they arrived the following day, however, I knew they were well worth the wait — everyone at the office admired their beautiful bacon-y goodness for about ten seconds before they were devoured. Needless to say they have our stamp of approval. The team at Bacon Bouquets, a small business based in Dallas, create a variety of edible arrangements that can ship anywhere in the U.S. Their delicious bacon is sourced from local farms, hand rolled into a rosette shape, baked, and placed on an FDA-approved “stem.” They travel amazingly well and can be enjoyed up to two weeks after their ship date (and even reheated for the ultimate bacon experience)! They are perfect for that meat-lover in your life, no matter the occasion — because let’s be real, when is there not time for bacon?
Pine New York
I want to issue a warning to all our non-New Yorkers out there: do not read this last paragraph unless you want to be filled with envy over the amazing florist that we have access to here in the city. Founded in 2015 by Chelsea Neff, Pine New York creates gorgeous bouquets all year — from installations to editorial styling to personal arrangements. For Valentine’s Day specifically, Chelsea and her team create 100 personalized bouquets that are hand-delivered to your beloved (that is, if he or she resides in Hoboken or Manhattan). She brought one to our office just last week! If the bouquet wasn’t beautiful on its own, having it hand-delivered by the maker truly rounded out this lovely experience for me. If you’re not around to pick up one of her pieces for yourself, then simply send one to a New York-based loved one — no reason or holiday required!
