Optimum Arrangement for TV Watching in New Home?

Q: I'm renting a new apartment and am facing some challenges arranging the furniture. It's an open kitchen / living room, and I plan on using the kitchen island as a dining table with a couple counter stools. I've attached the floor plan, the apartment is 825 sq feet. Here's what I need to place…

- An L-shaped large desk with a chair.
- A TV with a TV Stand
- One or two couches (which I haven't purchased, so I'm open to different shapes, styles)

The main challenge is that the TV can only be placed either next to the window (in the corner on the wall behind the walking closet) or in the middle of the room on the opposite wall, almost behind the kitchen island. I want to be able to watch the TV from the desk or the couches, but can't seem to find the optimum arrangement.

Any suggestions will be very welcome.
