Organization Inspiration: Geninne's Studio

Nothing like a beautiful and freshly organized workspace to inspire a little bout of spring cleaning in the home office. This lovely studio from Geninne of Geninne's Art Blog is impeccably put together, with detailed inspiration boards, neat work surfaces, and efficient shelving.

Geninne shares the office with her two sons, who are home-schooled, and she herself is an artist, so the room is necessarily packed with supplies and tools, yet she's managed to avoid clutter and chaos. The furnishings are simple, and the color palette comes through mostly in the images Geninne has hung around the room as inspiration for her artwork. We love the muted blues, silvery grays, and olive greens... so springlike and refreshing!

Part of the organizational success of this room seems to be due to compartmentalization. Geninne has chosen her furniture and storage carefully, so that everything has a designated spot. A custom-made card-catalog-style unit is perfect for holding all the bits and baubles Geninne uses in her projects.

Check out Geninne's Art Blog or her Flickr page for more inspirational images and spaces. You can peruse and purchase her own artwork in her Etsy shop as well.
