Organize Your Club Cards With an Office Card File

You know those frequent shopper cards that every store wants to give you? The ones you begrudgingly accept at the promise of free stuff during your birthday month? Well, they kind of suck. Nothing fills up a wallet and weighs down a purse like club cards. So stop carrying them around! Instead, move a former home office staple into your landing space so cards are where you need (and want!) them.

While many people are making use of their smartphones to "carry" a stash of cards around, the technology sometimes fails and not all stores are willing to accept a digital version.

Instead, we love this idea of re-purposing an old business card organizer. Because let's face it: You haven't used a hard-copy contacts book since your 1998 Nokia.

Here's the idea, from Real Simple:

Keep a (non-spinning) contact file by the front door. But instead of business cards, stock it up with club cards, membership cards and gift cards—sorted alphabetically of course.

Now when you're on your way out the door, you can grab the cards you'll need along with your keys and sunglasses!
