Five Architonic Prototype Picks

Five Architonic Prototype Picks

We've been following the Apartment Therapy Design Showcase closely and enjoy seeing all the new creative designs being shown by independent designers. The website Architonic has a section where designers can upload their prototypes in hopes of finding a manufacturer. Here's our picks of what we'd like to see being produced...

1. Product Order by TAF Arkitektkontor
A clothes catch all for those of us who can't be bothered to put our clothes away or just want to let our jeans air out a bit.

2. Product Lampscapes by Studio Frederik Roijé
Typical lampshade forms melded together to create an elegant bunch. We're not sure if there is a bulb in each one or one central bulb?

3. Product Ninho by Herme y Monica
Decorative use of OSB in furniture. A nice cheap material that when used with nicer materials seems to add a nice texture.

4. Product Birds Nest by Studio Greiling
Cut felt rug that creates and organic nest like shape. We like organically shaped rugs and would like to see more of them!

5. Product Single work lamp by StokkeAustad
Elegant LED Desk Lamp with a simple folded form that we'd be happy to have on our desk. Making it touch sensitive would be a nice touch so there were not buttons and it could be dimmed.
