Landscape lovers rejoice: There’s a new trend sweeping Instagram and it’s all about stylish outdoor decor. Lately, every time we check the ‘gram we’re inundated with some seriously savvy outdoor setups, giving us an endless amount of decorating inspo.

So to help jumpstart your afternoon daydreams, we rounded up a few of our favorite outdoor design ideas. From glowing lanterns to cozy reading nooks, read on for seven of the best outdoor decor trends to steal from Instagram.

Glow-in-the-Dark

Looking for an inexpensive way to turn your backyard into an ambient lounge in the evening? IG is overflowing with beautiful yards decked out in solar-powered paper lanterns and string lights—like this one we spotted on @interior4all—that prove it doesn’t cost a lot to score some gorgeous outdoor lighting.

Dine Out

Why dine by humdrum candlelight when you can dine by the light of the sun or moon instead? Stylish weather-resistant outdoor dining sets, like this stunning geometrical table and chairs from @anthropologie, are insanely easy to source and currently one of the hottest outdoor decor trends on IG.

Make a Reading Nook

The only thing better than forging a cozy reading nook in your home is creating a cushy alcove in the great outdoors. Case in point: This swoon-worthy setup by designer @marzena.marideko, that transforms a cramped balcony corner into a dreamy reading (and napping nook) with nothing more than some plush pillows and pretty candles.

Build a Bath

It’s hard to imagine anything more peaceful than taking a bath while soaking up some nature (in a secluded space, of course.). Take for instance, this gorgeous freestanding bathtub we spotted on the IG account of designer @nicolehollissf, which provides generous landscape views without sacrificing an inch of privacy.

Or a Shower

If you can’t find (or afford) an attractive outdoor bathtub, consider the perks of investing in a backyard shower instead. Less expensive and way more space-savvy than a bulky freestanding tub, outdoor showers are simple to install—there are even wall-mountable ones for sale—and every bit as enjoyable, just like this post from @byron_beach_abodes proves.

Put a Beanbag on It

Who knew a good old-fashioned beanbag could look so incredibly chic in your backyard? Clearly @outdoordesignerstore, who showed us how just one colorful waterproof beanbag can provide plenty of comfy (and super cute) poolside seating.

Score Some Hang Time

Searching for a sleek and stylish alternative to traditional outdoor seating? Take a cue from @landscape_idea and suspend a hanging chair or two in your backyard for a plush but playful way to truly hang out(side).
